Marketing On Internet Architecture is the basic technical foundation or building block for your online marketing efforts. If you are new to making money online it is extremely important that you start with a solid infrastructure for your business to run on.

This basic architecture consists simply of:
1. a domain 2. a host or server computer for your website to run on 3. an autoresponder to let you keep track of and manage your leads (this is optional but very highly recommended) 4. a website (usually a “squeeze page”) that will let you capture your prospective leads and/or customers information so that you can contact them in the future (usually by email through your autoresponder service).

And that is it, the basic building block that all of the big name marketers and bloggers use. It simply scales from there to build larger sales funnels and networks.
If you are still reading this article, then you are probably like so many other entrepreneurs out there who know that they can make money on the Internet if they could just figure out the technical stuff!

Do you want to be a successful internet marketer? I am sure you do, however, the problem is that we often do things that could hinder us from being successful, such as unproductive and time consuming actions.

In that context, here are 4 internet marketers’ sins that you must avoid in order for you to become successful:

1. Too much browsing for information: The internet is the center of all information and this could dangerously drive you into addiction. You go from one website to another thinking that every information is valuable. No! You do not need all of the information in this world, what you need are the ones that can benefit you. Stick to a couple blogs that you think are informative and helpful.

2. Procrastination: This usually relates with the above sin. Let’s say you have in your schedule a couple of things that needed to be done, but since you spend too much time browsing for information, you fail to do the things that you have scheduled. So beware! Do not let yourself deviate from your goal in internet marketing by continuously delaying things that needed to be done.

3. Lack of priorities: By having no priorities, then you will not have any idea on what things that need to be done first. What is the most important in your internet marketing effort? Ask to yourself that and make the list of priorities that you need to do first.

4. Too often checking out your emails: Some people just love refreshing their email inbox every couple of minutes just to see whether they have received payment or commission. Is this necessary? I don’t think so. There are more important things that you can do other than continuously checking your emails.

So, you need to avoid on these 4 internet marketing sins, because they can hinder you from success. Avoid these holes and become successful!

I’ve got some experience in the internet marketing world and there are a few things that helped my business grow and expand. The first thing was my ability to network with others. I started going to seminars. I’ve been to about 200 but I stopped going to them around 2001 or 2002. I’d attend a few but was out of it. Then a few years ago I started going to them again. I can’t tell you how many people you can meet going to these functions.

I had someone call me that I met at a seminar and he has a list of about 50,000 people. He wants to become my affiliate and push the products that I sell. I didn’t even remember him. But as we talked I asked him how he found out about me and he said he met me at a seminar. Networking at seminars is huge. Most people ask me how in the world you can get someone to become your affiliate.

The most important things are that that a person has to like you. You have to be honest, straight forward and very creative. The conversation between you and the person has to be good. The numbers have to work. But I can’t over emphasis that they have to like you.

If someone likes you they are more willing to do something for you. People usually like the people that they network with. Those that want to get out there and share. These are important things for me and I can’t stress how good it was to get back out and socialize in these networks at these seminars. If you look you can find some really good seminars.

There are some bad internet marketing seminars where you have to pay $500 to $1000 but even if it is bad, look at what they are selling. What are people doing? Watch them at what they are selling. Look at their offer. Check out to see how they are collecting the cash from other people. All these things are important.

Another thing I wanted to bring up is that you have to learn to love your spam. Learn to like those pop up banners that you see. You can learn a lot from just reading spam. Look at how the offer is put together and copy the same thing that they are doing. This is aggressive cleverness.

Take some time and look at the competition and learn how to talk to other people. I have some people in my network that I can rattle off a sales letter and get some good feedback from them. When it comes time to selling my product these people want to be my affiliate and sell the stuff I’m selling to their list.

So to summarize, learn to love to go to seminars and study your competition. Make these points all apart of your internet marketing plan.

Let’s clear the air right up front…how many of you are guilty of marketing to the herd vs. a target customer? Fess up, come on…we have all done it in a moment of haste or naivety. In fact, the majority do this more often than they care to realize, hence their lack luster results. If you target everyone you will hit no one. No matter what leave the shot gun approach for duck season. When marketing on the internet you must have a consistent sharp shooter vision. So let’s get straight down to internet marketing – hit your target customer.

Face to face is the best selling method so think as though you are speaking to this one person with all material you present. Begin by naming your target customer after all they are a real person, right? So for this example I will call him Joe. Create in your mind’s eye one person that is the classic example of the target Joe in your market – what is a typical day in the life of Joe? Further questions about Joe and his life are…Is he married, age, kids, job, income, home, hobbies? Is the spouse supportive or not of this foolish internet marketing idea? What are they wearing? Does he ever get to take vacation? Where would he go? What are his biggest frustrations and surface desires, dreams or experiences he wants to have?

Example: Joe is 45 years old, happily married going on 18 years, has a son & daughter, works as a construction project manager, earns 60k per year, lives in a 3 bed 2 bath 2 car garage home in the suburbs, enjoys squeezing in a game of golf once a month if he is lucky in between all the kids activities, rarely gets time off to relax or vacation, his wife works full-time as well yet they never seem to stay ahead of the bills and it doesn’t look like retirement will be coming when planned (age 62) as their portfolio took a 50% loss since the recession hit. Joe and his wife always dreamed of enjoying second honeymoon in Hawaii, sending their kids to the best university, retiring debt free, with the freedom to travel as they saw fit. Go as far as it takes to get the mental image clear.

Now become Joe…step into his shoes and relate to his wants of Lifestyle, Respect, Credibility, Contribution, & Success. By communicating as Joe to Joe, a common connection and relatability develops quickly providing the opening for commerce to occur with an exchange of valued solution via a product or service. Just by doing this simple exercise prior to starting your online marketing you will eliminate 95% of the competition attempting to sell to Joe. Now you won’t be exactly 100% correct on your interpretation of Joe, but you will be surprisingly and effectively close.

I know you will find positive results in this exercise even if it seems simplistic…I feel the KISS principle most often applies quite nicely with internet marketing – hit your target customer.
